Don't like how political sports have become recently

Stephen A Smith juat suggested on first take that several prominent black athletes request to meet with Trump to talk about their concerns.

When did it become athletes responsibility to be so political? Some volunteer their opinion yes but I've seen media criticize athletes who don't "take a stand". Remember when
Cam newton got blasted for not taking a strong opinion on the riots in Charlotte?

Please keep politics out of sports as much as possible

athletes, especially huge stars, have a massive platform to make people think about what is going on in the country, TIP. Are politicians the ones we need to rely on and them only? If you are an American, you have the right and some say duty to make things better. I think the issue is and Trump's victory is one sign of it, is white people are sick of hearing black people ##### and moan and especially rich black people ##### and moan. I imagine the concerns of these athletes may have stuff to do with the police, etc. and most white people don't even think the police ever mess up.
