don't hit one's on one's because of possible injuries

Jun 25, 2012, 7:23 PM

There’s part of your problem.
And I’m not surprised

There’s a possibility of injury walking to class.
Stay average so you don’t get hurt.

Did anyone read what Jim Riggs said after he watched practice.
He basically said they pampered the kids compared to what his practices were like. Riggs said they did not practice in shorts. Full pads, full contact all the time. That’s how to build toughness.
You can’t expect toughness to just appear on Saturday.
Put them thru H#ll and Saturday will be a walk in the park

Maybe you should do a little research before posting. Saban does the same at Bama. Think they are soft?

Let’s start where we AGREE

We both think BAMA is tough as nails.
We both think Saban is a helluva coach.
We both think Bama is very deep on the depth charts.
Reloading every year.

That also means there is not as big a drop off from their 1’s & 2’s
That also means they have a luxury others don’t have.
Their 2’s are better than a lot of 1’s on other teams
Therefore, practicing against them is not a drop off compare to some 1’s on other teams they will be playing against on Saturday.

If our players are practicing against players not as developed the competition on Saturday, things will not go as good on Saturday as they did all week.

1’s should practice against 1’s, 2’s and 3’s. Practicing against 2’s and 3’s is to develop those players, not to make the 1’s feel good.

Injuries are usually the result of a freak accident and could just as easily happen against the 2’s or 3’s. If this is not the case, ALL of our 2’s & 3’s would be injured all the time. A result of playing against the 1’s.
I haven’t seen that happening.

I bet if Saban saw even the slightest softening of his team, they would be hitting 1’s on 1’s until the problem was solved.

You want to beat BAMA? You’re going to have to out work them.

I think the practicing in shorts has something to do with
