Hey salesmen, when did policy become straight up lying

to a customer?
Called AT&T to lower my bill. This girl went through different plans, savings, and promotions. Wound up with a plan that would make my bill about about $50 lower per month if I bought one of their ###### $1 phones.
Made her tell me multiple times that the phone is $1 and in no way would be added to my plan or I would have to pay for any new lines.
Complete and utter lie. Phone is on plan, and bill went up $50 per month.
Now we wait for whatever poor AT&T soul gets to talk to me today

I lie to people everyday… when they say “I haven’t seen you in a while” (bc I hadn’t been at the account much) I always say “I was just thinking the same! We must keep missing eachother” so they think
I’m there when they are not. Reality is I wasn’t there, but I’m Not gonna say, yes I haven’t been here like I should.

Here's how I handle any deal over the phone

Once presented with the deal, and they answer your questions, tell them you are going to record the conversation, just as they surely are. Then get them to tell you the deal again, and ask your questions again, and let them answer the questions again. It is legal in SC as long as they are informed.
9 out of 10 times they will hang up on you.

people over the phone, hell they've heard worse than anything you can think up.
What you gotta do is go to a store - make sure, and this is very important, it is a corporate store and not an affiliate store, and refuse to leave until you get what you want.
