and his personal & seasoned view of players in the system and where they are now in the process versus when they came in or from their last season's play..whether it's maturity, physical limitations like weight or strength, desire, fight, ability to learn the play book, competitiveness, etc..

is coming into play more each passing year due to his past & long tenure from being a walk-on at Bama, to being a graduate assistant, position coach, assistant coach, interim head coach And now Head Coach for well over a dozen years..and thus it's paying off for him at a great age (53-54) and for his players, coaches, staff & Clemson football..after maybe an unreal 33 years total career.

You can see it in the live-chats after a practice or other informal interviews..in that he's happy, smiling, assuring and has a gleam in his eyes (as if he knowns we are getting a recruit not expected and the media has it all wrong) knowing within that his/our future is Still now and in front of us too.

Remember when he said years ago that we were better than Bama in the tough 45-40 loss (and Saban knew it too thus their the fake kick to gain 1 more possession) and after the 44-16 shellacking of Bama he acknowledged he & staff felt Tigers had the better overall team. He's foxy savvy!

Plus, he's an awesome human-being showing compassion, resolve, love, understanding, humility, decision-making abilities, charitable, funny, happy, talkative & accessible to all, go-gether, loyal, family-oriented, believes in people & a higher Power, etc.

This long & hard-earned learning curve for him (especially since the 5 peat losses to the Coots and many of them laughingly saying he wasn't a coach at all and simply a rah-rah type using biblical & Dale Carnegie type messages to rally the teams)..

is now so obvious to all, in that he truly is getting into Or is in the Nick Saban level of being a total Head Coach and what diverse smarts it takes to compete & WIN year-to year.

I've felt & saw this about him for a some time but today's TNet article about Nate Wiggins and what Dabo said about him & what he's overcome to be a better player to help himself & the team to excel showed me that this middle-aged head coach has solidified his reputation as a leader, innovator, motivator, hiring genius, student of people, hands-on-coach when needed, a seasoned game side-line coach willing to make important decisions with & against his assistants under stress & pressure, an executive on & off the field and a true head coach.

Having an approx $9,000,000 yearly salary sort of puts the icing on the cake, doesn't it.

And lastly to the 0-30 & 7-straight loss Coot FB fans..keep thinking lil ole Pelham AL Dabo is only a Rah-Rah coach and wants to drive the ROY Bus out of desperation..

but instead try to realize & give some credit that's he's been cycling Clemson FB uP by himself as Head Coach while you've had maybe 3-4 Head Coaches that failed you with their various Rah-Rah techniques along with using white smoke & a pop song played loudly to cackling hen fans..

or changing outfit & helmet colors yearly to try to win a conference division which hasn't happened nor has winning a conference championship Or going to the CFP 6-straight times, Or playing in 4 Natties winning two (over big bad Alabama) happened..

or being 1 of only 2 teams in collegiate football history to have 11 straight 10-win seasons as the CLEMSON FB Program and One head coach has (aka William "Dabo" Swinney).

Saying, Dabo has been a top tier coach for some years and is at the top, and more importantly it certainly appears his current zest, coaching hires & recruitment acumen has him in line for many many more victories for lil ole clemPson!
