Does Kelly's injury help us with Watson?

From the article today, it sounds like Watson is solid to us regardless, but I would think Kelly's injury might make him even more solid.

If Watson enrolls in January and Kelly is just coming off injury, I would think that the playing field would be much more even and Watson would have a better chance to start in 2014.

Don't take this post wrong. I am in no way happy that CK got injured, i think it sucks. I'm just trying to find some shred of good in this situation.

I think Morris helps us with Watson. And just Clemson generally helps. I dont think think Kelly's status is particularly impactful either way because Watson was interested and committed almost as soon as Kelly was. I suspect they are interrelated

Watsons recruitment is simple really

If Morris is here come January, Watson will be here, if Morris is elsewhere, Watson will more than likely be at either Ohio St, or wherever Morris lands. (yes I know what Watson said about Morris leaving, but this is just how I see it still.)

It is really tough to tell with recruiting this day in age. I really hope that the staff pursues a medical hardship for Kelly to take the pressure of of Watson being so vital to the 2014 class. Of course it would be excellent if Watson signs with Clemson, but would give peace of mind knowing that Kelly still has all four years remaining.

That we were not even looking to sign a QB for the 2013 class. With Morgan transferring and Tony's injury and later deciding to quit left us thin at QB. So the staff started looking to sign a QB and found out that with Kelly and Stoudt and a "big time program changing recruit coming in next year" kinda of held us hostage and unable to sign a QB this year. Swinney continued to say that the kid that transferred in from Miss. St has turned out to be huge, since Swag went down. Swinney said that he fully expects Kelly to not just bounce back but come back stronger. Swinney also said ,Sam and Kelly will push each other hard to come back from their injuries.
