Does Dabo pay our players?

Hear me out about Dabo and ALL other highly paid coaches in todays market…

Can coaches somehow funnel some of their $5M - $10M annual salaries to players via some kind of NIL collective or non-profit to recruit kids to their own schools? Is that possible?

I have no idea. But the thought definitely crossed my mind as a competitive advantage. I’m sure we have an attorney or tax expert on the board that can weigh-in. Maybe?

I feel like living in Clemson, Or Starkville Ms or Ole Miss, or Oklahoma, you’re money goes soooo far and you could easily toss out $1M-$2M a year to secure some amazing players to join your team. I would if I were a coach. You don’t need that extra couple million each year in such small towns.

Are you aware of the NIL and how players can get paid, aka Texas A&M? Are you aware of how they setup non-profits for people to donate into and feed money to the recruits to commit? I could be wrong but anyone can donate to that, especially if they create an unknown LLC and funnel money through that. Obviously I’m not joking bc it’s a definite possibility.
