Does Big Ten really want to play or just avoid lawsuits?

Sep 17, 2020, 1:37 PM

I’m starting to think it’s just all a ploy to avoid lawsuits....
Set guidelines for a season that aren’t realistic...

Oops...we can’t play...But we tried!!

No lawsuits from either side of the issue...

Hmm... makes you think doesn’t it?

Avoid lawsuits, and claim they were correct to stop football

They still can't believe that the rest of college football did not follow their lead to end college football this year.

Without football, the Ped10 can't pay off those existing lawsuits. They don't want to give their team docs or assistant coaches any free time without getting some money out if it.

It's about not being left behind by the ACC, SEC and Big 12.

The lawsuits kept the pressure on, for sure. But watching successful opening weekends by the ACC and Big 12 broke the door down.

Now the Pac 12 is really feeling the hot sun without the B1G providing shade. I fully expect the California and Oregon state governments to give approval in short order.

I consider the Pac12 The B1G's ugly, weak, pathetic little brother that can't make a decision on its own.

I wish you were right, but I fear different.

California and Oregon state governments are committed to their current course of (in)action. Their citizens are bold and active by nature, but the state governments constantly regulate their citizens' freedoms so much that the citizens don't even argue any more.

The state governments are not even asking "how can we make this happen safely?" They are simply saying "everybody take a mandatory sabbatical until we say different."

My wife is a CA girl and I spent time with her little brother as guys. Growing up in Cali is always a mixed blessing but with far more good than bad. Now, not so much.

Seems California is now good to go.
