practice time working on kickoff coverage, and not playing Cornhole?
This on top of the coaches making summer workouts "voluntary", as @Francis Marion pointed out earlier.
I sure hope we're not resting on our laurels. If we're standing still we're gonna get run over!

agree, this is very short sighted and could slight the team when we have little time to prepare anyway.

We should make fall classes voluntary or at least internet based. May create more time for practice. As I've always said practice makes perfect. You can quote me on that. Btheir is no time for cornhole when you are hunting a state championship.

I believe that "voluntary" is a test of commitment for some of these young men. I feel like the culture that Dabo has created promotes self sustained work ethics from our players as well as accountability from teammates. Dabo and his staff have also created a culture of extreme competitiveness between the players and I feel like these guys know if they want to compete, they have to work. I think its a non issue.

There has been 1 player in the last 5 years that did not participate in "voluntary" summer workouts.
Ky Preister
He was dismissed from the team shortly after they reported to fall camp. "voluntary" is based on NCAA rules and is not really "voluntary"
There is no issue here

Obviously, the man hasn't got a clue about what he is doing!
After all, if you watched the weigh in, there wasn't a single player who reported the least bit out of shape or who hadn't participated in "voluntary" workouts.
Let's create problems where there aren't any. That always helps.

The corn hole toss is at the beginning of practice.. Dabo picks out the two participants... Usually one person from O and one from D... They toss it twice each.. It is called making practice fun...

If anyone "voluntarily" misses practice the coaches will know and most likely that guy shouldn't be on the team anyway. Don't get it twisted voluntary workouts are mandatory and everyone knows it.
And really are we complaining about a cornhole game during fall practice? Give me a break. Herm Edwards coined think before you hit send. How about think before you post.

No matter If Clemson had won the NC and went undefeated every year going forward some people are going to complain about something.
IMO I am "All In" with Dabo and Co. And if they think letting players play cornhole is ok then I ok with it. I don't tell Dabo how to run the Clemson Football program and he has yet to call me to tell me how to do my job.
It's easy to be an armchair QB because anybody can be one. Now being a succesdful head coach of a major college football program is much different. No offense to anyone but I have yet to meet anyone on TNet that could fill Dabo's shoes.
