fight da##it fight fight"....I'm feeling you there. However, it just doesn't seem very kid friendly. I've really enjoyed the past few years with us starting to play more clean rap music over the PA, so how about we do something along those lines?
"Fight tigers, WUT-WUT, fight fight fight!!!"

I don't really find your response a valid answer. Clemson has LONG prided itself on maintaining a "family-type" experience at Death Valley and one any parents would be proud to take their kids to
There will inevitably be consumption of alcohol and some poor behavior and language, but keeping that to a minimum WITHOUT having to resort to draconian rules and increased presence of law enforcement is something Clemson fans have always done themselves.
I don't want to see hordes of cops roaming the tailgating grounds or patrolling the aisles in Death Valley. By at least TRYING to be a little "better than that", Clemson fans have avoided the new world order. If you want to do a lot of drinking and cursing, just make sure that you're in a group of folks where thats not an issue and you're not unnecessarily bothering others.......Inside the stadium, just try and keep the foul mouthiness to a minimum. It doesn't seem like such a burden really

of things that time has filtered out. Decades ago there were words for minorities that people used regularly but you don't hear them today. There's a reason for that....we evolve. Just because it's old doesn't make it right.

Apparently you've not read the post I made under this same thread at 10:12AM
Perhaps that'll give you a bit more insight.
But again, I think Clemson's reputation for civility is well earned and for those of us who've travelled extensively to other college football venues and seen the exact opposite, it is a point of pride. Like I said, I don't want things EVER to get to the point where the police roam through tailgates looking for underage drinking (as they once did at unc) and arresting people for perceived "bad behavior". Just don't like leaving that decision to armed law enforcement. In fact, I think it'd be pretty traumatic for kids to see people being arrested.
Don't misunderstand. I've over-consumed at games in the past....and have occasionally let something slip out after the Tigers made a bad play during the game.....but I've tried to look at it from the view of those around me and have usually apologized afterwards. I ain't perfect or anywhere close to it.

long as you don't get out of control, raise hell and flaunt that you are even drinking (if you are underage you should not have a beer can, you should put it in a cup)then the cops generally leave you alone... but the ones that do it openly and look underage are going to have problems

famous cheer, my own father was uncomfortable with it when taking me (as a kid) to the games in the mid-50's.
But that is the way the cheer goes. Its a Tiger tradition and really not a question of liking or disliking. Just have to tell the kids, like my Dad told me:
"Its OK to say that word in the cheer son, but not any where else. For the sake of you sitting comfortably, try to remember that."
And as you are obviously well aware, THERE'S NO WOO-HOO!!!!!

I dont remember that game, but i know when we do the "you suck" parody cheer when GT band plays what sounds like the theme song from Mortal Kombat, the kids that were sitting near me all cracked that same mischievous grin that only happens when kids hear bad words. Not any worse than what they could hear/see flippin thru TV channels for 5 minutes.

After one home game my youngest Grandson tried to get a drink out of the fridge, had trouble, looked at me with a grin ear to ear, and said: "D@mn milk!" I chuckled under my breath, swatted him lightly on his head, and said: "You can't say that word." He replied, "But you did at the game." I said, "Yes, but I went to Clemson...you haven't!" He said, "OK." I haven't heard him say it since! LOL
