Do you want a hummer?

Mar 15, 2022, 11:36 AM

It hit 23 degrees at my home this week.

Spring is near.
Today is the day to dig out your Hummingbird feeders and get them in the yard. It better early than late as they need some food on day one.

These very tiny guys are now leaving on a journey of peril, flying thousands of miles to make it to your place. The courage and fortitude needed for that brings tears to my eyes.

How hard is for us to put out some water with sugar in it? We cannot be friends if you do not.

I for one am glad you are stopping. You are one of the most ignorant posters ever. You obviously think very highly of your own opinion, unlike the rest of us - RockHillTiger

I get them often. But usually over quick.

Still a few weeks away me being in the now not so frozen tundra of SW Michigan. But we have our regular Hummingbirds that make the rounds late during the temperate months.

They fly in. Do their business, leave, and then come back for more several times during the day.

I keep 5 feeders out year round. The hummingbird feeder is the only one I have not touched. Look at this attachment. Had that come onto the feeder one day.

Your hummingbird looks like an owl. And a good looking one at that.

I’ll admit her have had one come and take a perch like that. Did find a wounded juvenile owl in my mailbox (or the open receptacle under mailbox where the penny savers or whatever they are called these days get shoved) one day though.

Not sure I have ever seen one. The thing was huge. Tried to look it up but can’t find one that I think closely resembles it.

I'd take a tranquilizer and sleep this one off.

Lol, I can’t eat that much sugar.

From my porch chair have 4 garden ponds to look at. I have a high end camera out here most days. That is a very good photo. Sorry, did not think you took it, I was wrong. Search came back with:

"searched over 52.9 billion images but didn't find any matches".
