Do NIL's have performance requirements/incentives?

What are the conditions if any other than authority to use name, image, and likeness?
Some people are saying NIL pressure affects play whether direct or not.
Do players get "guaranteed" NIL money is what I'm asking?

I think this year the payments are not tied directly to on field performance. I only say this because I saw an article or two on twitter that discussed the top NIL quarterbacks and how they have not lived up to the hype this year. They are still being paid;however, I expect the companies to insert clauses that do included performance based pay moving forward to next season.

no1 does..
if bob's minicooper of Six MIle gives you NIl money for your image.. i assume he can choose not to give it to you soon as he pulls your face off his billboard
officially.. no1 gets paid to play sports.

contracts portable, or are they specific to a school? If a player transfers, does he keep or lose the NIL deal?

No, they don't. In fact, I think it's illegal for them to have such clauses, as it can't be perceived in any way, shape, or form to be payment for playing. It has to clearly be only in return for use of Name, Image, Likeness.
So it puts NIL deals into a tight spot, as they have to find a work around. Maybe shorter term, week-to-week contracts become more popular.

I would assume there is a contract signed by both parties before any goods, services, or monies are exchanged. We Susie Brown scholars know that a contract requires consideration from both parties.I guess we'll need to notice if Bryan Bresee keeps that new Silverado.
