Do kids every say "University of Stanford" when they annouce

Jun 1, 2019, 9:09 PM

their offer from Stanford.

This University of Clemson thing use to never bother me, but now, 2 national championships later and everyone being into their social media and looking like a big dog, it kind of bugs me a little...but then again, I guess that what I get from reading "social" media...

Please forgive the rant!

I posted about this same topic a couple years ago when a big recruit committed to Clemson. You would think these guys would know the difference between the university of ... and Clemson University. I got flack for it at the time, saying who cares as long as they commit to us. It bothers me too that kids these days don't really k ow the correct name of the school they want to attend for 3 or 4 years. You would think a coach or parent would tell them the correct name but hey as long as they come to CU is all that matters to the majority.

Because they commit to coaches not the school. It’s always the same story for every recruit. Family feel and relationship with coaches. Never for the good ole love of CU.

It was either 2019 or 2020, but a kid announced he was committing to the University of LSU

So, it could be worse is all I'm saying. Btw, the kid was from Louisiana.

Stanford probably isn't the best example. Anybody

getting a scholarship at Stanford is unlikely to make that kind of mistake.
