Tiger football transfers

Who was the last football transfer who actually had more success once he left Clemson? I personally think the facilities and student/athlete development (PAW Journey) is tough to replicate at other schools.

There is a reason most people transfer, they are not great players.

Mellusi to Wisconsin before he got hurt.
If Melussi comes back healthy; he could be one of those "Wisconsin RB's" that become a household name. He was having a fantastic season until he got hurt.
You could also throw Chase Brice in there. He struggled at Duke. But, he came back and had a very solid career at App State.

Wisconsin already has a household name at RB in Braelon Allen. Still much worse things than being a backup RB at Wisconsin.

If you have a worse career at your new school... you're doing transferring all wrong

Derion Kendrick. Left for the bulldogs and won a championship and went on to get drafted by an NFL team. I don't remember why he left the program though.

Chase Brice was a grad transfer but he is probably the best example.

Had by far his best season yet last year, looks like he’ll have a monster year this year.

Mike Jones was one of the players LSU took to SEC media days during the ESPN/SEC pimp our ride week.

really assess whether going to LSU actually improved his situation. He might have done just as well at Clemson.
The same could be applied to Chex Mellusi going to Wisconsin. When everything shook out and Lyn-J Dixon left, Chez probably would have gotten the start for the Tigers.

Zerrick Cooper had a pretty good career for Jacksonville ( had 2 great years, then knee injury, then covid shortened season - 6,800 yards first 2 years, 60 TDS.)

In fact, many if not most Tiger fans complained that he went in ahead of Hunter Johnson.
