DJ's knee last night

according to Dabo he fell and dinged it up and it bothered him as the game progressed. News flash - quit rolling up your football pants above the knee and put the knee pad in them. The bicycle shorts look offers no knee protection.

Eric Dickerson was one of the best players ever. There wasnt a pad or protection item available he didnt use so he could play. Maybe learn from that

On a replay, it looked like it happened on a no-contact play. Sometimes you just step wrong and strain a ligament or tendon. The brace helped give support, not protection. I don't think that a pad would have helped in this situation. However, I agree with you on the no-pad pants. I can't imagine when I played ever considering going onto the field without a knee pad.

It would help if he was playing about 20-25 lbs heavier than he should be.

I can see it on our field but not like how GT's artificial was in the 90's. I am not sure how spongy the newer turfs are or the texture of the carpet, but can tell you from experience the old Bobby D stadium style will give instant carpet burn on unprotected (uncovered) contact areas.
