DJ was by far the better of two great qb’s

Both threw the lights out but DJ made plays with his legs too. Amazing poise and throw with defender hanging onto his leg. Give credit when it’s due.

I don't think either was "by far" better. They both had incredible games.

And was humming some into tight spots. Putting touch on them. Really nicely thrown balls with great consistency. I was really impressed with him. We have got to get our heads around and make it a little harder on him.

Yes DJ deserves a ton of credit but the stats do not back you up. The QB game was a push at best because of the running you mentioned.

Both Did, But

1. Orange colored glasses. 2. Hartman did what he should have against an inexperienced secondary. Clawson called this his most talent laden team since he has been there including strengths at DB and OL. DJU wasn't playing behind a veteran OL against rookie DB's. 3. DJU made the "have to have it play" on the two point conversion with a dude drapped all over him. 4. Did i mention the orange colored glasses. I know all homer sunshine pumper comments; but it's the way I see it. No knock on Hartman who absolutely exposed our young secondary. And for that actually, I am thankful. That will be the fuel to push those guys to never let it happen again.

It will be interesting to see which of the two QBs Saturday has the Most success in the NFL. Both likely will be chosen. I put my money on the Wake dude. He likely will be chosen before DJ.

Hartman is 6'1 and 205. DJU is 6'4 233.
The NFL loves measurables and tall QB's. I think if DJU continues to play well he would get picked before Hartman mostly because of the youth he has to work with at WR compared to the vets Hartman has. Plus, the measurables. FORESTTIGER

While I’ve been a critic of DJ. The jury is still out. I personally don’t see him doing well in the draft if he goes out this year. He needs to clean up his throwing mechanics, IMHO. He appears to draw the ball from his side, which takes away from quick deliveries. NFL passing takes a lightning fast release. Can’t do that from your side. I’m no coach, but that appears to be how he throws.

Our secondary made their receivers look better, thus their QB. But we came away with the win. The wuffies don’t have as good a qb. But they’ll fight even harder. And they’ll be well prepared. They’ll throw deep all day.

NC States defense is much better than Wakes.

Hartman more tds, high percentage, higher qbr & vs better defense

To say DJ was "by far" better is factually untrue. He did play lights out though, I was very impressed with his performance Saturday.

Based on the boxscore - you are correct. But, 26 completions to 20. Better overall defense, sure. But, clearly Wake had better DB's as the secondary and the OL and QB were the strength of their team. Hartman had freshmen to throw against.
Why do people give certain NFL QB's credit even if their stats aren't great? Because when it's needed they make it happen. I thought DJU did that yesterday and Hartman didn't. That's not to say he didn't statistically have a better game.

DJ has a ways to go to be as consistently good as Hartman has been but if he does get there, we will all be very happy.
