I'm more and more impressed with his poise and maturity. I really don't know how he handled all of the negativity that came his way from last year and heading into this season. Even after the spring game and fall scrimmages, a large part of the fan base was predicting he would be in the portal by game 4.
I just give him loads of credit for believing in himself and believing in the process. I also have to give props to Dabo and Streeter for helping him keep his head in the game and keep doing the things that got him into the position he currently enjoys. I also credit him for the tremendous shape he got into that has made him an effective runner and really opened up our offense.
Just really proud of this guy and feel sorry for those times when I kind of jumped on the bandwagon against him when things weren't going well.
Clearly, he has a lot more character than I did...

The only thing you can control in life is your attitude. He controlled his attitude. I'm sure he had some help with it here and there. But he also worked on controlling the other thing that was potentially under his control - his game. He worked. He watched film. He took the constructive criticism to heart. He blocked out all the negativity and people who really had no idea what they were talking about. He worked. He focused. And he persevered.
I'm sure he read this one more than a few times - Rom 5:3-4

The way people talked about him all off season was absolutely embarrassing.

There was lots of critics posting on this site...if 111th in the nation is OK then excuse our concern and note that he is somewhat better this year but not to clemson standards...111 to 36 is better. Last games coaches took the ball out of djs hands and gave it to the running backs and we won! Would love to see dj reach that mythical productivity and consistency and am still patiently waiting!

Through 6 games he has:
1773 Total Yards (1462 Passing/311 Rushing)
14 to 2 TD/INT ratio
64.2% completion rate
Offense averaging just under 40 pts/game (39.3)
Expand that out to 12 regular season games and you get 3546 Total Yards, 28/4 TD/INT, and 64% competions.
Honestly, if he just stayed on that trajectory and our defense plays up to their potential, that is good enough to win another Natty.

What's bad is that there is still people out there that will tear him apart any chance they can. Sad that people still can't rally behind him even when he's playing the best he's ever played in his career.

Most impressive thing about DJ to me, no way I would’ve been able to handle that now let alone at his age. He’s truly one of a kind to be able to block out the noise and play football. I’m never going to root against a Tiger the way a good portion of our fans do hope he continues to get better every week while making plenty of people eat crow ????

There were two times during the game that I laughed Saturday night:
1.) When the BC offensive lineman caught the batted pass, saw his opportunity to seize greatness and then was immediately chopped down like a redwood.
2.) When DJ attempted his second deadleg juke and was the victim of a sniper located somewhere in the upper deck of the stadium.

If you’re a fish… swim. Don’t try to climb trees. I wish he would’ve just trucker that guy… yup, not going to outrun a DB. But he doesn’t need to outrun anyone! DJ is a grown man. Would’ve been beautiful to watch him truck someone on the way to cap off a 55 yard run.

There is no way to not be impressed from where he was this time last year. We literally watched him grow up in 1 year. Honestly I think Wiggins is buying into what DJ has. He's got a ways to but hopefully he buys into the team concept.
