That map is bullshite. Its a 3/4 day trip for a human

Huh? Divide 1981 by 70 mph and you get 28.3 hours.

Jan 3, 2016, 11:35 PM

I've driven that route before. Good luck averaging 70 mph on that trip.

Haha I should have said 3 to 4 not the 3/4 day. It's awful. I drove to deer hunt north of Dallas and just about asked to have my belongings mailed to me so I would not have to make the drive back. It wa awful. Fly if you can

Too true. After Dallas it gets even worse.

Jan 3, 2016, 11:43 PM

Once you get out of the hill country of Texas going west, the Midland/Odessa stretch to El Paso is about the most mind numbing, depressing driving experience I've ever had. No idea how anyone lives out there. I guess they are there for the oil, but the quality of life has to be $#!+.

No kidding, no wonder the road runners love to see a car coming. Any sign of life is welcome

The year is 2016 not 1981. However it would be the same miles then too

Interesting, the shortest route is I-20 out of Atlanta....and you have to pass through Tuscaloosa on the way to Arizona.

Coincidence? I think not!

More ESPN BS!

;)
