Disrespect "card" media backlash?....

Jan 1, 2016, 10:18 AM

i am just as angry as anyone with how the national media hates on my tigers and the standard to gain their respect admittedly so far is that we must win the natty to be considered one of the best. That standard is not applied anywhere else. Is it because we have not been in the national championship picture for decades or is it that we are in the acc? Should Dabo stop giving the pundits "fuel" for their new poke at Clemson- that we are pouty about being disrespected? Thoughts?

No, absolutely not. I love that Dabo says it right to their face when they talk to him. He shuts them up with just one question.

1. How many teams have won all of their games this season?

SEC narrative and recruit against them toe-to-toe. What will happen when the BS they feed recruits about playing "big boy" football in the SEC is blown away?

I didn't see any "hate" last night...

To the contrary, I saw a lot of respect. I did sense a bit of surprise, especially from those who were puffing the Baker Mayfield/Samaje Perine pipe before our dominant Orange Bowl performance. They were shocked that we're that much better than OK in every facet. Now they know we are worthy of the #1 ranking. The only people truly denying that now are coots and the Phyllis from Mulgas of the world.

So, yeah. Not sure where you're seeing disrespect now... unless you are a coot.

...to Bama.

Dabo isn't manufacturing the disrespect. But he's railing against it for his guys, his team, his school.

I will stand with him and Clemson through the win in Glendale.

I'm sure if/when Clemson wins, they'll say it was a "quality loss" for Alabama and thereby Alabama will still be favored to win the national championship next year even if Clemson wins this year. Or they'll blame it on Lane Kiffin's play calling, not on Nick Saban's coaching.
