From Merriam-Webster:


Full Definition of alumnus
plural alumni

1
: a person who has attended or has graduated from a particular school, college, or university

2
: a person who is a former member, employee, contributor, or inmate (for coots)


By this definition, not only are students alumni, but anyone who contributes to the university. So, in my opinion, if you give to Clemson you are an alumni. Raise your right paw and let that Tiger Roar echo o'er the mountain height!!!

fans are Clemson graduates, that wear purple (no orange) and their Clemson rings to games, give to IPTAY at a minimum of the Heisman level, travel to all away games, and have season tickets (and 100% attendance) for either basketball or baseball?

No, and I don't consider myself one....and they obviously do not consider me one either, as I have never gotten alumni letters, magazines, or solicitations from them.

I did buy a Longhorns cap while I was there.
