Meh, not that bad. I sense you have little awareness what it is like to be in a life-or-death situation. You like to sit on your high horse and watch these people put their life at risk and then come in Monday morning quarterbacking.
The guy would not quit fighting so they didn't get the dog off. When he complied, they got the dog off.
You'd be like one of the Uvalde cops - sitting in the squad car monitoring the radio or something slightly less dangerous like clipping your nails while your fellow officers risk their lives.
I think you'd fit in well as a big city DA.

You lefties are a live social experiment, I swear...
So scared to write down a few theories on why the guy shot the cop.
I'll start...
1. It was late at night. The guy was high, drunk, or otherwise impaired and made a bad effing decision. Happens a lot.
2. He listens to everyone, including hey hey, telling him that white cops will kill him if they can. He feared for his life and took it to the extreme.
3. He hates cops because he's been told he should hate cops and his rage caused him to act.
Wanna vote? I'd like to think the most likely scenario is No. 1 where the guy is "out of his mind" so to speak. Between drugs and mental cases, it's dangerous out there.
