Best Photo for Pylon

I believe that this is the best photo for judging the fumble out of the end zone call. This view would also have been similar to the view of the official following the play down the side line. Although there was a closer official who was looking down the goal line, this view is the one that gives the best perspective for making the call. I speculate that the officials agreed that the trailing official with a view of the pylon and the goal line was in the best position to make the call. Although the official looking down the goal line placed a bean bag market at the one yard line, he may have been marking what he thought was the spot of the fumble. He did not seem to object to the out of the end zone ruling.

In the photo, if you picture an extension of the pylon, the ball would be to the right of the pylon and still in bounds as it crosses the goal line. The receiver lost contact with the ball at the two yard line. The ball looks to be about two yards away from the receiver in this photo, which would mean that it is crossing the goal line at this point.

Pylon cams need to have cameras on top. Or a laser beam shooting up into space. Everyone loves lasers.

My Son and I were at the game sitting in that corner on the 2nd level. We Looked at each other and said that ball was fumbled thru the end zone , Touchback ! We had a great angle . On the Big screen the ball appeared to go out of bounds but they only showed one angle. I was there and I say the call was correct. Go Tigers ! Like Dabo said if you dont want that call , hand the ball to the ref.I will say one thing , we were both wearing Clemson Shirts and Colors and everyone we met all day before and after the game were some of the most friendly and nicest people I have ever met !!!

It did not go to the right of the pylon per se

It went over the top of the plyon with the axial center of the ball slighty right of center.
