Did we avoid QB run to avoid injury?

Coaches mentioned this reason last year when DJU played. Appears our QB backup strength is weak.

DJ is much slower than TL and DW. But more QB powers

He played with hurt shoulder last year. Would not shock me

if he has an undisclosed injury again. You could not tell it last year against ND. He hides injury well. No other explanation for not running him especially in 2nd half.

If he was 6’ and 190lbs I would say yea. Dude is 6’4” 250lbs. If he or the coaches are worried about him taking a lick and getting hurt at that size. He needs to take up chess. Plan and simple. Play calling did not put DJ in good positions to be successful and DJ can not precess plays as they develop as fast as an elite QB can. Checkout DW4 and TL16 play reaction, check down and reaction time.

In my opinion, without question. I think the staff were not prepared for an extended stretch with QB2 and it had major consequences in the overall gameplan last night.
