Germany is stopping the Moderna

vaccine for those under 30. All the while, we are all giddy about jabbing 8 year olds with unproven vaccines.
The amount of idiocy with these vaccines is amazing.
.004% of my States childhood age population has had to be hospitalized. But hey, lets jab them with this #### that we have no clue how it might or might not effect these kids. We have to save that .004% at all costs. Even if it means killing .005%.

There are 28 million kids between the ages of 5-11 in the US. There have been 96 deaths in this age group from COVID most of whom had comorbid conditions. I agree that a compelling reason needs to be made as to why vaccinating all young kids is the proper policy.
I haven't seen the data to support the risk/benefit ratio in vaccinating kids. Maybe it's out there? Certainly vaccinating kids would decrease kids being a vector for spread in the general population, but most vulnerable adults are vaccinated and many kids already have some degree of natural immunity.
I haven't looked hard at the risk/benefit ratio in kids, as my children are adults, but I fully understand some of the concern over vaccinating kids.

Is there data showing you slow the spread with the vax? Honest question.

To be clear- I’m not saying it doesn’t.
This article admits that nothing is peer reviewed and everything reads with a “early data suggests” disclaimer. And then gets into possible, but unproven, reasons why that should work. Those include- vaxed folks are less likely to carry covid so logically they are less likely to spread it AND when vaxed do get covid they have less of a viral load so that is less likely to spread. So the way I read it is there is nothing inherently in the vax to keep you from spreading at the same rate other than trying to make you less likely to get it in the first place and then reducing the severity of your case if you do.

It helps, kinda like masks help

But for the black and white crowd, if the vaccinated spread it at 1/6 the rate of the unvaxxed, then why bother.

kids, or people of any age, come from? Did we skip all of the standard vaccine trial processes and stages?

How many phases of trials did this vaccine go through
Nov 10, 2021, 12:57 PM
[ in reply to Where does the idea that we have no clue how it affects ] |

and with how many people? What do they call it CharlestonTiger15....bench to bedside? That usually takes at least 10 years or more.
But sure, Phase 1 was 50 kids and Phase 2-3 was 2300 kids. All of this "in-depth" clinical trial happened back in June and July. We are now 4 months after that and ready to start jabbing? What?

Did some quick math for you all

1 in the 50 of Phase 1 had a 103.5 temp which was considered an adverse event. By any standard, that kid went to or was carted to the ER for treatment. So .02% had an adverse event.
In my State, in all kids that got COVID and went to hospital, that was .004% of the population.
Awesome. Great. Stab that kid in the arm!!!

Your point makes sense, IF the only utility of the vaccine
Nov 10, 2021, 1:26 PM
|

was to prevent hospitalization and death due to actual Covid infection. The equally important utility, if not even moreso, is to prevent the transmission of Covid in the first place. Because vaccinated people can catch and transmit Covid, does NOT mean that vaccinated people are just as likely to catch and transmit the virus as the unvaccinated. I have no idea how that came to be the conventional wisdom in all of this.

So lets take what is basically an experimental
Nov 10, 2021, 1:28 PM

drug, give it to your child that basically has zero chance of complications from said virus. AND to boot, if little Junior does get it......vaccinated Grandma and Grandpa could still die.
yup, totally makes sense.

And here's the other trope that has become fact.

How is something that over 3,000,000,000 people worldwide have taken, "experimental"? Vaccines, by nature, don't have long-term effects. mRNA vax tech, like live virus vaccines, doesn't last indefinitely.
