Did Our Lineman Who Had 2 Negatives and a Positive Then

Nov 24, 2020, 8:50 AM

Ultimately Test Negative on Sunday or Monday? Would be a fun sound bite.

Not sure if he was included in the count yesterday...

But he had 4 negative tests according to David Hood. Monday though Thursday.

I'm not sure if they bother to test him the next day or not since he'd required by rule to isolate for at least 10 days regardless.

Last I heard, the player managed to infect multiple, previously healthy, dead Democrat voters in Georgia on his way back to Clemson.

This has the risk of affecting the Georgia Senate race, so Swinney may have just saved America with his callous disregard for player safety

Keep believing the election fraud conspiracy thats so weak Trump lawyers won't even argue it in court because of feared court sanctions. They only argue it in their press releases for fools like you. Eat your heart out, Biden beat the A-hole by 6 million votes.

The ACC does not have a "test out" option, so that player will not test again until he is able to come out of isolation in 10 days.

If the test is reliable, why not have a “test out” option?

I believe you answered your own question.

If the test is reliable, then a positive test means the player is positive and needs to isolate.

Having a test out option shows a lack of faith in testing accuracy.

Isn't that a catch 22?

Nov 24, 2020, 1:19 PM [ in reply to If the test is reliable, why not have a “test out” option? ]

For a player to test out he would have to test positive at least once which means he either has the virus and needs to isolate for 10 days or it means the test was a false positive. And if the test is giving false positives it's clearly not reliable enough for a player to test out of isolation.

I could be wrong, but I think it may be due to a level of not fully understanding how long a person is contagious for with this virus. Do they stop being contagious as soon as the test shows negative, or is it some period of time afterwards? It's likely that they are no longer contagious if the test shows negative, but I think it's one of those abundance of caution things.

"abundance of caution" is kind of the key to everything

Nov 24, 2020, 1:35 PM

here and also why most people will side with FSU over Dabo and Clemson even if CU did follow all protocols.

IMHO it was some 'nameless, faceless, unaccountable doctor" not the athletic department who unilaterally decided, Does not have to explain himself to anyone... maybe it was the right call maybe not, we will never know.

What we do know is Clemson went above and beyond, N95 mask and face shields on the plane... they put up a stand alone meeting tent, and on and on...

they should have presented a solution and not just "no"...

On Dabo's radio show he stated that from Sunday's tests, they had ZERO positive.

So tests from last Sunday, Monday, Wednesday all negative for the player, then on Friday the results were positive, and finally from Sunday's tests negative.

They likely didn't test him on Sunday since he's going to have to isolate for 10 days regardless.
