I noticed that myself. I mean, like, wow.

Apparently Mike didn't have enough fun the first time around with the Feds, because he's about to do a re-match. Cassidy Hutchinson fingered him - and not in the naughty way - for being part of that whole Oath Keeper/Proud Boy thing. She said specifically that Trump requested an update about what Roger Stone and Michael Flynn were planning the next day on the night of January 5th...whereupon Mark Meadows apparently went and made the call to them.

That blockbuster kind of slipped under the radar in between Trump deliberately letting in armed protestors because "they weren't going to hurt him" and allegedly - I'll get that word in there because that's the one part of Hutchinson's testimony anybody's even trying to deny this morning, which is, uhm, astounding - trying to drive himself to the Capitol while choking out the head of his protective detail...but still. Wow. The real menace to Trump has always been Seditious Conspiracy, being a knowing part of a violent overthrow of the US...which the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers are now being charged with, and in some cases, already copping guilty pleas to.

Oh, and the Oath Keepers were providing "security" to Michael Flynn as well as Roger Stone the morning of 1/6, and in the days before. Fascinating coincidence: Joshua James, who was with Roger, is one of the Oath Keepers who has already pled guilty to seditious conspiracy. (Which strongly implies James has flipped for the Feds instead of doing 20 years in jail. It's butt-pucker time, Roger.)

So one suspects Mike may have a reason for taking the Fifth on that question.

Plus, let's face it, Roger and Mike both needed the money. Both of them were broke after their last lengthy court battles and convictions and pardons...and it's not like there's a big job market out there for pardoned ex-cons who did massively high-profile Federal crimes...even on K-Street. Especially when you're a disgraced ex-general with a track record of dealing with shady oligarchs and Turkish generals like Flynn was, or a known dirty fixer like Roger Stone who worked the dark end of the street so long I doubt he knows what the legit world even looks like, and who raises red flags at every border checkpoint he enters.

I mean, if you're one of those guys and you're not going to go back to work for The Boss, who's gonna hire you?
