He's couldslow playing us under advisement from OK(BV) for appearances sake; won't look as if CBV outright snatched up the blue chip LB on his way out the door. Remember rumors of Kanak flipping began a few hrs after the OK official announcement of new HC-

that area of the country. I don't blame the kid for taking a step back as things changed. Hopefully he still chooses Clemson but this isn't a case of BV trying to "steal" one of our guys.

Yes it has been discussed. No he hasn’t officially flipped. Yes he is expected to follow BB to OK according to “experts”.

...way of looking at this. Brent was very loyal to our university and to Dabo for many successful years. If Kanak is waffling because he really wanted to play for Brent, it's certainly understandable. I feel very confident that Brent is not actively "poaching" players and you can't blame him if Kanak ends up there. It's the natural result of a kid buying into a certain coach's style and following him where he goes. Happens all the time.

Yes it still says Clemson commit, but he removed his Clemson uni pfp (profile pic). Its a pfp of him in highschool uni. That's kinda all you need to know i guess... Hope i'm wrong.
I also saw a tweet that reports Brent Venables told all the decommits to rethink it and go to Clemson. If true, it didn't work. Now if he's offered him, then that kinda goes against the gentlemen's agreement that was also reported recently.
I'm still thankful for the 2 NC's and all the success, but I just dont see why all these IMG kids decommitted then went elsewhere in less than a WEEK. Bc they didnt go play for BV. And after Dabo went to IMG right after BV left. That Everette kid went somewhere that lost their DC too. Must not have been about the DC coach after all huh.

18 year old having to make a ""Lifetime"" decision may just need a little time to think things out

coaches would scoop him up without thinking twice, but Brent Venables is an honorable man. He knows that Dabo Swinney's unwavering support and resources are what allowed him to have all that success at Clemson, and then parlay that into the biggest first time contract for a college Head Coach in college football history. And, they have a genuine friendship.
No doubt, he would love to have Kanak at Oklahoma. But, I believe he will force that young man to be the one to publicly detail all his thought processes, and reasons why he wants to flip now. Brent would only take him if he makes it clear that there was NO coercion on Brent's part. One kid is not worth throwing away a valuable friendship.
