Deshaun standing at the top of the hill.

When Deshaun and the three others walked into the stadium Saturday and were standing at the top of the hill, he looked down to his left and hugged that little girl and took a pic with her. As a grown man who likes to hunt, fish, weld, eat beef jerky. I teared up. Not gonna lie. That was as cool as it gets there. In that moment, standing in front of 70,000 people screaming and cheering his name. He took the time to hug that child and smile at her. Just think about that. It was his moment, in front of his biggest fans. And he made it about her for a min. Coolest thing ever. Im gonna miss you young man. Gonna miss seeing you in that orange and wearing that paw helmet. You are a pure class act and have represented Clemson university and that football program as well as anybody ever has. Thanks for all that you have done.

That had the sign that said, "Deshaun, hug me for good luck" when the team left the WEZ for Tampa. She got to walk on the bus with DW. You could see the look of recognition in his eyes when he saw her at the top of the hill on Saturday.
I wish I could meet DW’s Mom so I could hug her and tell her how she raised such a terrific young man under difficult circumstances. I have so much admiration for them both.
