Deshaun and the draft

Apr 18, 2017, 6:58 PM

If you could pick any team in this years draft for Deshaun to play for which team would you send him to and why.

Miami Dolphins because I'm a fan & I'd like to see what Gase can do with him. I do like Tannehill, but I'm not sure he's the guy. Especially if he doesn't play well this year.

I don't like Seattle but I think he could learn a lot from Russell Wilson. Their styles are somewhat similar although Wilson does not tuck it and run as much now.

In no particular order: Chiefs, Houston, NY Giants, Saints, Steelers, Ravens, and while highly unlikely Pats. All pretty well run organizations with stability, and while requiring time as an understudy, it would be a good learning environment, amd stepping into a good situation when the time comes.

Houston, AZ, KC intermediate term opportunities

Apr 18, 2017, 11:33 PM

Looking for quality team and quality HC and OC to position themselves for trade up to select Deshaun Watson. Then its up to DW, and I have a good feeling abouit how that will turnout!

I could see that, except Houston's offense is supposed to take two years to learn. Although, I wouldn't mind hearing " Watson connects with Hopkins and into the end zone"

However, Reid has shown the ability to work with QB's, they have a great defense, and pretty good O-Line. I think A. Smith has seen his better years, Watson can come in on plays and earn valuable time under center quicker.

Last, C. Palmer like A. Smith is getting older, Palmer's last 2 seasons have been rough to watch at times. May get you to a first round playoff, then what? I also wouldn't mind hearing " Watson connects with Fitzgerald and into the end zone"

Did anyone else notice, that Mcshay has Watson going to the Chargers at #7? That was what was on the right side of the backdrop of the ESpin special tonight? the 2nd go round had a different backdrop, same show... Think Chargers have in mind P. Rivers mentoring Watson for the future? Maybe it was a mistake on the screen, maybe it's talk that wasn't supposed to be seen. Not sure. However, that scenario would be great for Watson.

Two years to learn? That's a crap offense, then.

Apr 19, 2017, 7:07 AM

It's a league where players are constantly moving between teams. They signed Osweiler to a ridiculous contract and then ditched him after a year...how does that make sense if they know the offense takes two years to learn?

This an older clip about the Texans from earlier this year. There is hope for the Texans on offense even before the QB get's there. O'Brien will be calling the plays in 2017. We know that He comes off of the Belichick tree. He spent a considerable amount of time coaching and being around Tom Brady, and let's face it.. the dynasty of this era. I'm a Falcon fan, defense is my first draw into football, then offense. However, I hope that no matter where Watson goes, that maybe he will have an opportunity to play in Atlanta someday after learning the system. From being a ball boy for the Falcons, to having streets named after him in GA. He's a Tiger for life, but I'm sure He would like to be captain someday in Atlanta. That just my opinion though, after keeping up with DW4 since He threw that first lazer in the GA game to Peake. Even though I am a defensive man, Watson has s special place in my heart as well as many of the Tiger Nation. Wishing Him well Next Thursday, and all of CU guys.

Back to Texans, Here is the clip of O'Brien calling plays in Houston this year.

Houston- bc NUK needs a QB

Buffalo- bc Sammy needs a QB

Wouldn't it be great if we could team up all 3.

Houston, no question.

Excellent QB coach in O'Brien, dynamic weapons on offense (Nuk, Fuller, Miller), and #1 defense in the league.
