Just now getting to post this, but here is about an hour worth of the Spring game for the people who didn't make it. Recorded this with my camera. Really wanted to take a tripod but didn't have one. But If I were to ever do this again I would certainly get one! Youtube has a feature to take out the shakiness, so the vid is not as bad as it was before I uploaded it! Sorry about that! Haha

I believe a split squad game type scrimmage like this is much more taxing on the defense than on the offense.
Whereas in years past, we have generally played our starting 5 OL most of the meaningful minutes in any given game, the defensive line has always been rotated in and out on a routine basis.
With a split squad, the constant rotation of DL isn't feasible ... especially this year when we're down on experienced DL players overall.
This year in particular, I think the OL has the quality numbers to put 5 good ones on either team while the DL is thinner and not as able to split the squads and still run at a high pace the entire game.
