Defensively the Second half of three games

Oct 2, 2014, 7:19 AM

Second half let downs in three of the four games. I was expecting a little more coming into the season. The UNC game has me questioning how good they are. We can not blame the Offense for the second half of the UNC game, as we did in the Uga game.

2nd half adjustments

Oct 2, 2014, 8:10 AM

It just seems that the opposing teams coaches do a better job adjusting and correcting issues at the half than Clemson has been doing. They have an attitude of this is our game plan and we are sticking to it. I thing Fla St came out and made some adjustments and that was the reason for the loss and last week, NC was not that good....we kept letting them back in the game.

This is an old problem for us. We tend to get a lead, and then try and sit on it with a "bend, but don't break" defense and a slowed down offense. Our problem is, that usually means we barely win, like UNC this year, or we actually lose, as happened at Auburn a few years ago and at F$U this year.

blah. . can't win if you lose

I remember having the same discussion here with the opposite being favored.

The hurry up offense is great when you score but at that time the opinion was being made that we should slow down the offense when we have a lead to give our defense a longer rest.

Geville Tiger on Clemson football , "Dabo's only problem is he has to deal with turd fans questioning every move he makes.”
