I have been hearing for weeks how great Watson is. True, he may be the best quaterback on the team, but I have not seen him make any plays yet that lives up to all the hype.
I will probably get "lit up" for this statement. So, if you respond, please do so with a specific play that he made that not many other quarterbacks could have made.

If you can't see the confidence and poise in DW vs others including Boyd then you need glasses. I am not sure Boyd could have done better in that situation. There will be no bigger stage to toss a Fr into and he did everything possible. The poor center play and FG kicker was the diff along with a few questionable calls that could have been BC of poor center play.

Shouldn't you have waited until after our game in November before making your assumptions about Watson. He just played against a very good D, better than any y'all will see until you meet ours, and he didn't do a very bad job. In his first 3/4 game, I think he was better than that yahoo y'all have throwing the ball considering the D he was playing against. It must make you feel better to just out of no where, come here and talk about Watson. Were you hoping to find someone to agree with you, or just fishing to find more of your kind over here. Your kind as in other trash like your self....

Name a true freshman QB that has led his team on multiple TD drives in a hostile environment of two top ten teams. There are several plays that come to mind. The first TD strike at UGA was one of those plays you are asking about. The throw in the corner of the end zone against SC st where the receiver is the only one that was able to catch it. To me the most telling evidence that Watson is great is the way he manages the game and the touch he has on the screen passes as well as the times he has shown a rocket of an arm.

How he communicated to all his linemen and skill players in a deafening environment within the allotted time remainning to snap the ball after it was put into play while having to perform before the world on a national stage as a true freshman.

On a few plays, one last night, where he was almost sacked in the backfield and acrobatically got his hand down to keep his balance, run out of the pocket for plus yardage.
Has thrown more precision passes than Manziel too.
You should probably watch the games before making a statement like that.

Love these "worst post ever" nominations. Gotten a few myself.
On a more rational note, I'd point to the QBR - the mathematical formula ESPN has developed to assess QB's based on number of big plays, yards per attempt, number of times sacked, turnovers, quality of opposition played. It's basically a statistical attempt to rate: how well did this player really play, and who'd they do it against?
Currently Deshaun Watson sits at a whopping #6 in the country, behind guys like only Marcus Mariota and Bryce Petty. He's played really, really well...against the best teams in the country, at their house.
Contrariwise, Stoudt rates just #105...near the bottom of FBS-division QB's.
Will Watson's lofty rating hold up over the course of the season? Who knows? But it does give some indication of how well Watson, statistically, has done with his chances.

I did not know he was rated 6th by ESPN. Makes me feel better about our Quarterback. Like you stated, I hope he can maintain this through out the season.

I'm sure none of those QBs playe in an environment like that and against a secondary that talented either yet. When we start getting into the weak spot of our schedule he will probably overtake them.

The play stands out for me is the pass he completed for a touchdown while his receiver was covered by 2 defenders during the season opener against Georgia. That play really stood out for me. Awesome pass!
