Helmutts here on the Tigernets. I have a suggestion, which could be a form of compromise.
Wear Chrome Orange Helmets, ONLY when the orange britches are worn, in games which have some form of Championship associated with them. That would include the State Championship, ACC Championship, (and games which would clinch an ACC Championship game appearance, going forward), Bowl games, Playoff games, and obviously Natty games.
Fans happy, players happy, a win-win for almost everyone. You just have to get over your fear of change, in this one small area. What says the Dabo?

What he said...If it ain't broke, don't fix it. These uniform changes are for teams that can't seem to get it right, ie Nancy State, by trying to draw attention away from ineptness on field. NO CHROME HELMETS!!

I suggest allowing players who are able to afford to do so the opportunity to purchase and wear their own chrome helmets. This will allow fans to know who is raking in the NIL dough and be a source of pride for the players who are really cashing in. It will also shame and motivate the low performers into improving their performance.
