What’s better than a great NIL deal?

Jan 5, 2022, 9:44 PM

Being raised in a great culture.
Growing up as a great and responsible man.

The average millionaire goes bankrupt 3.5 times and 70% of wealthy families lose that wealth by the second generation.
16% of NFL players go broke within 12 years of stepping off the field…

What money can’t buy is the type of man you are, and the legacy you leave.

Really unfortunate to see schools offer 17-18 year old kids no other plan for their life than “hey , we will give you lots of money…we are at the mercy of your youthful desire for fame and fortune”

Glad that Dabo and crew have a better plan for our players than just making them rich.

The SEC have always excelled at buying players. It didn't just start. The big money just started.

It's laughable you think clemson is the only university on the nation with culture. The fact those schools can provide both is going to kill our recruiting.

Exactly. And the word itself is meaningless.

Every place has a “culture” whether they’re trying to or not. It seems like some people have been hypnotized by the catchy phrases and sales pitches (along with the folksy aw-shucks delivery) and they’re buying all of it without even thinking.

Decent satire with a little sarcasm thrown in. I like it.***

A great NIL deal is hard to beat. You put together a great highlight reel from 11th grade, smooze the right evaluators and presto a bunch of crazy old men want to pay you big money to use your completely unknown name, image and likeness. Before anybody figures out that you aren’t really that great, you’re laughing your way to the bank. If you turn out to be useful at all, you demand even more money for the non use of your NIL.

What is going to be tragic for many of these players are when they hit their 30’s and they do not have a clue about life and what it takes to be a successful person because they went for the money instead of an education, great work ethic and what it means to have your priorities in order.

The ### has busted!

Will the booster’s take care of their homeless alumni?? Or are you just valuable to them as long as you can play football.

I hope and pray Dabo will stick with his character and integrity and run the program with the same values as before NIL.
