So tired of the lack of honesty from coaches

I understand that coaches have to put a positive spin on things. However, at some point I feel like you have to be honest in your assessment of where you are. I always thought that Dabo gave honest evaluations of where his program was and that is what appealed to me most about him. This year he is running on pure pride and BS, and that is not a good look for our program. It would be so refreshing to hear him say our offense is not very good right now, and that we need to look at refreshing our play calling/ scheme because it is not working. No one wants to hear that last night was a top five win in his career. It clearly was not, especially when you consider all the championships he has been a part of and all the legitimate big wins the program has had under his leadership. I feel like all that is coming out of his office now is lies and cover up for particularly bad coaching and players. Still plan on watching every game and will pull for our Tigers every chance I get, but will not be watching anymore of this coaching staff's BS interviews, which is the equivalent of the 24 hour news channels at this point. Also, if our players are so fragile that they can't hear the truth and grow from it... we need new players.

During the preseason, ill never take him seriously again. Especially all the spin and coach speak this year. I just hope he isn't taking himself seriously as well.

Exactly. From Dabo's point of view it probably is. This year

has been one of those where what could go wrong has gone wrong. Fix one thing and another problem pops up. He has probably been pulling his hair out in practice trying to plug all the holes. And for the offense to take it down the field and score after all that had gone wrong,WHEN MANY OF US HAD THROWN IN THE TOWELL, Dabo had to be excited. And I will say this for those of us that lost hope. The crowd came alive the last 5 minutes of the game. VERY ALIVE.

They say what they have to say, at least publicly. How would it go over to our young team in trying to build up their confidence to say “the QB and our players and coaches suck”? It’s been baby steps with this offense and like many, I was completely shocked with the huge drop off from last year to this year. We have improved each week though it’s been a long hill to climb. It is what it is this year, we can only support our team at this point and hope we continue to get wins and improve.
I have faith Dabo will make the needed changes at season’s end. Until then, the “Clemsoning comments and put downs during and after the games by our “fans” needs to stop. For those of you that can’t - the next train to Cooterville is boarding now. Do us all a favor and hop on.

You want him to be more like Spurrier 2014-2015?

Newsflash: You start publicly blaming your players and staff when they are struggling to win they quit on you. For all the growing pains this team is having they haven’t quit on Dabo.

And recruits see this too. No kid wants to play for a coach that throws in the towel or badmouths his players. Dabo is doing the right thing. And he has been saying the offense isn’t very good right now for the last couple of weeks. But he is positive about trying to get better.

What do you want Dabo to do? Go around to each player telling them how bad they are and then turn to the cameras and say that all his players suck? Good grief guy, give it a rest!
