8 wins they would take in a heartbeat. Don't ask for more though unless the season gets extended.

Doeren will kill Tennessee recruiting which is great for us. I like picking out the top players from Tennessee.

The Tennessee coaching search is the gift that keeps on giving. Let's take a closer look:
1. Greg Schiano - protests and internet riots ensued 2. David Cutcliffe - Said no thanks 3. Jason Witten - Says he's staying with Cowboys 4. Mike Gundy - Leveraging for a raise at Oklahoma State 5. Dave Doeren - AHAHAHAHAHAH 6. Tee Martin - He's on their list but doesn't seem to be one of their top choices remaining

I'll say this one actually makes some sense for ol' Dave that is.
He's just coming off of his best chance in a while and for a while to beat us to no avail. He's previously lamented how difficult the ACC is to win. In his heart I don't think HE believes he can beat Clemson or win the Atlantic.
This ones actually plausible.

NC State is losing a ton of talent from this year's team and will be lucky to make a bowl next year. If offered the job I'm guessing he'll jump ship without hesitation.

Their actually losing less than I think some people expect, potentially. Unless guys jump early which they could, QB is already in year five, I think all they really lose on offense is Samuels and one lineman. It still probably amounts to a regression but maybe not as bad as some might think. If Hines and Findley leave then stick a fork in them.

I thought they reported that NC State was losing 8 from their D including Chubb.

They are. The D is getting gutted but if nobody on the O jumps early and they have a QB in year 6 of the same offensive system they can probably still win some games. Not saying they can necessarily compete for the division but maybe get 7-8 wins depending on schedule.

They have a pretty good offensive line, 4 of the 5 are RS JRs and one SR. I could see a couple at least going early due to their talent.
Samuels is a SR, their TE is a SR, and who knows Finley may declare for the draft if he gets a good grade.

I expect Findley to leave. Degree in hand and NFL ready.

I hope they hire him. I think the effect would be Cade Mays in Clemson orange next year.
