Apparently he was very friendly with a cheerleader and his wife made him leave. Even if it’s true who in the world would expect him to say that publicly. Texas was a big time job at the time, and frankly still is… not sure if bmore is referring to something else but I don’t recall any lies.

RB got involved w/ a rally cat/bball cheerleader and was given an ultimatum from his wife. It may have not been reported but it was no secret. As far as Barnes being "honest" about the reason he left, only a mentally deranged person would publically confess to adultery placing themselves in a precarious position on many fronts-

I recall this was the only thing he said. Our president I think did not like it (and may be governor at that time, not sure if he got involved.)
He went to greener pastures, it was tought. Dabo has made clemson a strong brand, Browell has gotten a free ride on that for years at tune of $2mil/year, and has tarnished our b'ball brand to considerable depth.

Heard a stat yesterday that he has more NCAAT appearances (27) than any other active coach. I think Huggins at WVA has 26. We should have paid him what he wanted.
