Dare to Dream Clemson Baseball

The Clemson baseball team has been nothing but amazing since early April!!

Perhaps some of you have experienced similar dreams for this Clemson baseball team as I have. Two weeks ago (May 8) I mentioned how much my hopes/dreams for this team had changed during April. Now, two weeks later, our Tigers have moved the needle again as they approach the ACC Tournament.

It appears the team’s hopes/dreams have been bigger than mine all along!!!

“Dare to Dream” Low Point:
On April 3: Clemson was 16-13 and 2-7 (LAST) in the ACC.
I was just hoping that Clemson could improve enough:
- To squeak into the ACC Tournament
- And (Dare to Dream) squeak into the NCAA Tournament

"Dare to Dream" Improvement:
On May 8: Clemson was 31-17 and 14-10 in the ACC.
At that point:
- Clemson’s ACC Tournament spot seemed like a given.
- Clemson was in a position to be the top seed in its three-team pool in the ACC Tournament
- The Tigers looked good for the NCAA Tournament (In early April this was the “Dare to Dream” spot.)
- Clemson was in a strong position to HOST a Regional
- And (Dare to Dream) Clemson even had an OUTSIDE shot at a Top 8 National Seed

Fast forward two more weeks. Now (May 23) Clemson has finished the regular season 39-17 overall and 20-10 in the ACC. The Good Guys have 23-4 and 18-3 (ACC) since April 3.
Now:
- Clemson IS the top seed in its three team ACC Tournament pool
- Clemson seems a lock to host a Regional
- Clemson is now a strong candidate for a Top 8 National Seed (this was the "Dare to Dream" spot just two weeks ago)
- And (Dare to Dream) Clemson seems like a realistic candidate to get to OMAHA.

Things changed Dramatically for Clemson in April!
Things have now changed Dramatically for Clemson in May as well!!

Perhaps the early struggles were an important part of the development process for this team. But, somehow, it just feels like NOTHING is off the table for this team.

This team believes in itself! Thank you Coach Bakich and the other coaches! Thank you to the players for believing in themselves!

Thank you for daring to dream much bigger than I was ALL SEASON long!!
