Dang...when did Clemson class rings get so expensive?

I just wrote a $600 check for my daughters Clemson ring.
If the girls ring is $600, I can't imagine what the guys ring costs now.
I seem to recall that mine was in the $300 range.

I got that cheaper non-gold one, was only $300'ish in 2009

I don't see much reason to get the real thing if you want silver looking stuff. The synthetic version is a little more durable and looks just as good. Plus it's around $300 instead of the astronomically stupid expensive real gold rings.
