Dallas area attractions

Dec 8, 2018, 6:08 PM

Other than eat and drink (will do that) what are some other area attractions if you have a car? Especially on Sunday after the game?

Tour the stadium

For $20 you can tour Jerry World. Usually go into locker rooms and on the field. If you have kids, I would go to the Gaylord in Grapevine. George Bush museum on SMU campus, Ross Perot Museum is cool downtown Dallas.

Stockyards. If they are open. You find what beef cattle looks like in person.

Fair Park Dallas - Museums and live theatre at the Music Hall
Deep Ellum Neighborhood - Pecan Lodge best BBQ in DFW in my opinion
AA Arena - Mavs or Stars
Fort Worth Stockyards - rodeos, cattle drives, wild west shows, Billy Bob's Texas live music
GW Bush library at SMU - W and Laura often seen courtside at basketball games
Grenada Theatre - live music in a cool neighborhood
The Truck Yard - Cool park with food trucks and a bar
The Katy Trail - rent bikes and ride through Uptown Dallas
Highland Park Village for upscale shopping
Dealey Plaza - Texas School Book Depository - creepy place, IMO.

Just some Sunday ideas.

I second Pecan Lodge in Deep Ellum
-Bass Performance Hall has The Nutcracker going on right now
-Coyote Drive-in outside of Sundance Square in FTW
-Dallas Museum of Art
-Dallas aquarium
-Ft Worth Symphony Orchestra and Dallas Symphony Orchestra have great performances going on right now
-Grapevine is Christmas capital of Texas and is decorated beautifully for the season. Gaylord is there as well and is worth a visit
-Stockyards/Sundance Square in FTW
-Perot Museum in downtown Dallas
