Dabo'S coaching philosophy is inherently anti-Heisman

Dabo does everything to run this program in a team-first manner. He coaches and makes personnel decisions based on the long term good of the program and the individual.
When we blow opponents out, Dabo always plays 2ns and 3rd string to get them valuable experience and make sure the starters avoid a needless injury and are well rested for the next game.
Dabo also does not coach in a manner to blatantly run up the score or pad stats.(looking at you, Petrino)
While we can certainly be upset over tonight's result, it is more a testament to the fundamental difference in the values of our football program vs. the values of the Heisman trophy popularity contest.

if his priority was to get Watson the Heisman he could have done that. That's not Dabo's style though. Watson in the big picture got way more though. He is part of the Clemson family.

Deshaun deserved it. The voters got it wrong.

Also doesn't help that ESPN blew their load all over Lamar time and time again. ESPN swayed many voters I'm sure.

last two years. That's out of 124 teams. I don't think his philosophy is adverse to producing Heisman winners. You have to take them out of blowouts to prevent injuries. How would anyone explain losing a starter when leading South Carolina State South Carolina 42-0 in the third quarter.

Dabo's philosophy has gotten Clemson into the playoff two years in a row and a major part of the journey and accomplishing the goal is keeping Watson healthy and taking him out when the game is in hand. How many of us would crucifi Dabo if he would let Watson in the game when Clemson is blowing out the opponent and Watson would have gone down with a season ending injury?

What if your star QB gets hurt playing in the final minutes if a blow out? Continuing to play LJ when th game was in hand, plus ESPN's premature ovations plus DW4's ints all contributed. It is what it is. Let's go win the CFP.
