Dabo's Biggest Win?

Jan 1, 2013, 10:58 PM

Do Tiger fans think last night was Dabo's biggest win as the head coach? Personally I think it is, Dabo has not had many quality wins but maybe they start winning the big games if they build off of the victory

Yes.

What is Spurrier's biggest road or neutral field win - UGA?

I would say Nebraska just becuase that was the historic 11th win and kind of ended the bowl game misery for SC fans

Was Nebraska ranked 20th?

So beating us at home was a higher rated opponent.

Yeah my bad, back in '07 SC beat UGA at UGA (who was #11) and beating yall at Clemson (also 11th) this year are Spurrier's highest road/neutral victories. Also beating #22 Florida at Florida 2010 was big because that won the East and that was the first ever victory at the Swamp. Also beating Neb. and Mich. for the back to back 11 victory seasons. Those are the Top 5 road/neutral victories in my opinion. My rankings of importance:

1. Florida 2010
2. Clemson 2012
3. Nebraska 2011
4. Michigan 2012
5. UGA 2007

ACCCG was his biggest so far.

Okay, definitely can see that. When was the last time Clemson won the ACCCG before last season?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Agreed ACCCG

Jan 1, 2013, 11:30 PM [ in reply to Re: Dabo's Biggest Win? ]

20 years from now, when you look back the CG means the most in the books. LSU win is up there though in Dabo's 4 year stint so far.

More to come. UGA on deck.

Dabo's biggest win was probably the one against usc in

Jan 1, 2013, 11:05 PM

2008. That is the one that got him hired as the head coach.

That is very true, never thought about the importance of that victory.

I would say this game... Beating a Superior SEC team is #### good! Next would be the 2011 ACCCG.. But this game by far!

Yeah I agree, that was the highest ranked opponent Clemson has beat under Dabo's tenure if im correct

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I can see it both ways, but last night was bigger.

Jan 1, 2013, 11:23 PM [ in reply to Re: Dabo's Biggest Win? ]

We know LSU is good and knows how to win games. VT was crumbling last year. There was next to no adversity in the ACCCG last year. Last night had a good bit.

I'd say the ACCCG. His contract called for a huge raise if

Jan 1, 2013, 11:26 PM

he won the ACCCG. He then used some of that money to give his assistants bigger raises than they normally would have received.

I can't remember where VT was ranked coming into the ACCCG - but I think it was higher than 8th.

Very good points, so basically its between LSU and VT last year in the ACCCG?

I would say his first game and only win vs. SC; that probably got him the job.
