Dabo seniority beliefs, the portal, NIL, in my opinion

Throughout Dabo’s tenure at Clemson we have seen him be very loyal to his players and display seniority. He believes that the seniors have given him their best, their work, dedication etc. to him and Clemson. An example from the past at Clemson is the Cole stoutdt/deshaun Watson 2014 year and Kelly Bryant/Trevor year. That’s probably why he stuck with DJ most of the year. I do agree with him we probably don’t get to where we are with just Cade. maybe we do? I can’t say definitively. The transfer portal makes Dabo’s philosophy hard to implement. The transfer portal puts complete control of a players future in his hands. That is ok, I believe in that right for players they should have that right. Do what’s best for your family and yourself, I get it. The portal coupled with NIL makes college football all about money and reduces the meaning of commitment to the institution. Whereas Dabo fully committed himself to Gene Stallings, Alabama, and he is forever great full. Look at where Dabo is now on top of the college football world. He wants his incoming freshmen to experience success through the same commitment and hard work he displayed in college. He wants his players to be successful in life. In life after football. NIL and portal hurt that because it revolves around the dollar not life lessons. Dabo and company when they get a player they commit to him and all sorts ways not just playing time exhibit PAW journey. Dabo’s football philosophy is even harder to implement because of attrition. This guy leaves that guy leaves and it’s probably going to force him to use the portal in the future. I don’t think Dabo wants to get a player from a place where in his mind they have shown a lack of commitment to their first institution. Dabo believes in the relationship first. Every player we have gotten out of high school he and his staff built a true connection with the player and his family. Dabo doesn’t want to snag a player out of the portal and because he’s a great offensive lineman, come in, and beat out a 5th year senior that worked his butt off. How is that building a true connection with the player and his family? How is that being loyal to his players?? I do think that in the future Dabo will use the portal because he has too. He is going to somehow incorporate his football philosophy within it. Dabo has worked too hard and created a monster in Clemson football not to adapt to the portal and the surrounding landscapes. He’ll figure it out.

Break up your paragraphs, this is just like 500 words of stream of consciousness.

I have never really followed or cared too much for Pro Football. I love college football, especially in the South. For me it's the pageantry, tailgating competition and the loyalty to your College or University. NIL and Transfer Portal has changed the landscape, for me for the worse. Instead of a free education, life lessons and learning how to be the best version of yourself, it's about the hear and now and the highest bidder. It's a change for the worse.
