Dabo is tuff

He truly loves his kids. To that end wants them to be winners and fields the best players so the team can win. Football is a team game.
Is that true?
In 2217 Bryant was one of the best ever to line up at Clemson.
He sat for two years behind Watson.
In 2017 Bryant led the Tigers to the ACC Championship, and a spot in the 2017 College Football Playoff, losing to eventual national champion Alabama.
Bryant is a winner by any standard.
Dabo went another route.
After Bryant helped Tigers win 3 games in 2018 and were undefeated, Dabo replaced him with Lawrence.
Was that the right call - history says "YES!".
Uiagalelei struggled last season with injuries and ??
Helms has shown himself to be above average. Why did he not get more time?
Now this new kid Klubnik is getting press. Can he put Uiagalelei on the bench?
My take is Uiagalelei is "as billed" and will be hard to handle this season.
Klubnik is a kid hard not to be a fan of. His day is surely coming, but not this year.

Hunter helms is not above average, he just looked that way against the GT 3rd string after our first team, 2nd team and 3rd team beat them to death by 70+ points…. That’s the only time he looked good. I’m not sure the point of the post but Dabo will always make the right call for the team to win, DJ was the best option last year and probably will be next year too.

average QB? Was it his 5 completions or the 58 yards he threw for? It couldn't have been his 38% completion rate...So what was it that made you think "I want to see more"?

play vs NCSU or Pitt? He struggled against the lowest competition we faced, why do you think he would have been more productive vs better teams?

I hope you are right in your assessment. There is a mental/quickness part of the equation as well. The weight loss that has been reported is good, but quick decisions and accuracy seemed to be the biggest issue last year. I'd love to see DJU do awesome and Cade redshirt this year.

The weight loss is mostly weight he put on after the season. So, no real net loss.
