Dabo is about to make the most important decision in his coaching

If he puts Cade in for the rest of the year, he shows his players that mediocrity isn’t acceptable, and that he will make the necessary tough decisions for the good of the team. It would show that no one player is placed above the team.
If he puts DJ back in for the rest of the year, he shows his players that loyalty is more important than results, and that he’s not willing (or able) to make the tough decisions that are necessary to run an elite football program. I’m certain he has been afraid of messing with the locker room leadership that DJU exhibited this year, but that’s secondary to what’s at stake now.
This decision has enough impact to alter the course of Clemson’s status in the college football world going forward.
I love Clemson. I love what Dabo has done for this program over the last decade, and I will forever be appreciative for him guiding us to two National Championships. But I, for one, am going to be on edge all week hoping he has the chutzpah to correctly make this important decision.

He already made that decision today that ship has sailed, guaranteed he lost the team with his belligerent outburst in Williams face. He better be glad that wasn’t my kid after the way he coddled DJ after his mistake. I’ve been pumping but this is bad really bad.

It was the right move for Dabo, and I’m not mad at Williams there. The young kid shouldn’t have been in that position to try to create something that wasn’t there. Just should have never come to that.
New QB. New punter. I’m not even concerned with the results of the next 2 games. If Dabo just does that, then it will show a lot about what kind of coach he wants to be.

Totally agree, DJ is a basket case, as soon as he gets hit or the pressure is on him, he crumbles. I'm sure he's a nice guy but I have a hard time seeing him as a real leader and he's had two full years as starter to mature and it's not happening

I think Dabo needs to be more loyal to team success than the success of any individuals. Lately, he has not shown this. He has his favorite players and favorite coaches. I agree with you. He's got to make some changes.
