ESPN article about the Coaches Poll. Clemson isn’t mentioned until the very last paragraph.

You better know if Georgia or Alabama was 4 or 5, they’d mention them right away.

Makes it that much better when we prove them wrong.

Polls dont mean squat until the CFP poll comes out. Until then all we have to do is win our games and everything will take care of itself. Go TIGERS ?

what people see when they mention "reading between the lines." I look and look and look and all I ever see is a white space between the lines. I just don't get it... shrug.

I agree. The only Poll that matters is the CFBP Poll at the end of the season!

Clemson is coming off a "so-called bad year" at 10-3 and a great deal of talent returning! They know what we know! If the Tigers had better team health and QB/OL play the Tigers make the playoffs and who knows what happens!

We'll know after game 1 or no later than game 2 if the offense is still stagnant or not. If the offensive production can come within the same hemishpere as the defensive production - "we are in there this year(CFP)"!

Those teams are all worse than terrible. Dont think we are going to learn much at all, especially since we likely will run the ball early and often.

We didn’t come close to finishing in the top 10 last year. We return a QB who had one of the worst QB ratings in FBS. We have an unproven offensive line and lots of question marks at WR.

If anything, the pollsters are giving us a ton of credit for previous seasons by ranking us 4th.

Are you mad they don’t have us first?!?

No, absolutely not. You’re completely missing the point. I was pleased to see us at #4 and thought they would have us slotted #5. It’s not about the ranking. It’s the not so subtle way ESPN pumps the sec teams over anyone else. That’s all. Maybe I’m the only one who read it that way, but I highly doubt it.

I think you're reading too much into those 8 sentences. They included a 2-sentence paragraph about the team that was voted #1, and no one else. I do not detect any disrespect to the team ranked 4 at all.

I am starting to consider a scenario somewhat like English premier league where you get points for wins and losses instead of crap spewing anybodies using there bias to decide rankings.
