Dabo & Parker = BB & Jennings

Dabo mis-handled Parker his last (jr.) year and put up with wayyyyyy to much crap from him. Coaches need to remember the Whole Team is Watching. He got away with it & I bet you'll never see him make that mistake again. BB made the same mistake, but it might be his "undoing"

Parker was one of our best qbs ever until he was speared in the Auburn game. At the end of the season, it was revealed he had 2 cracked ribs. Tajh just did not have the confidence then to take his place. Both coaches had no other choices - have you read about Jennings childhood? Who was BB going to replace him with?

Speaking more in terms of "attitudes detramental to the team"... Parker showed up the coaching staff on several occasions...then Dabo gave him all of the "rewards" of a Senior....but by the end of the year his leadership had evaporated....in contrast, Jennings was a career long problem.....and yes, I read the article..a "Blindside" type of deal..

Swinney had no one ready other than Kyle Parker. The season didn't go well down the stretch but Parker was playing with broken ribs from the late spear from an Auburn thug.
If you think we are losing basketball players because Brownell only suspended Jennings for two games, you know nothing about the dynamics on our team. First, Sullivan wasn't ready to start this year. All you had to do was watch him play to realize that. I think Sullivan could've still developed into an ACC caliber player as Jerai Grant, Devin Booker and yes, even, Milt did in their junior and senior years.
Brownell's problems are twofold: the players he didn't recruit (including Sullivan who was already on board when Purnell quit us) don't like his game; many of the players he has recruited (Stanton, Sapp, Hall and Smith) are clearly mid-major talent and really have no business playing in the ACC. This is unfair to those players and potentially lethal to our basketball program.

Well into Brownell's time here.
I know that doesn't add to the topic, but you have to get the facts straight!

Um, that was the first date he could've signed...

Sullivan started camping with Purnell as a seventh grader. He was on board well before Purnell left and was "rocked " by the news because Purnell was the only coach for whom he could imagine playing. We encouraged him to transfer to Davidson Day School for academics, by the way.

So, maybe it isn't me who doesn't have the facts straight.

The point is he came in the same class as Sapp and Hall.

If he started camping with Purnell as a seventh grader that's all fine and good but he knew well ahead of time that Purnell wasn't here anymore and he still chose to come play for Brownell.

If he is transferring because he doesn't like the playing

style then he had a year to figure that out.
Also, the way you put it is that Sullivan was committed to Purnell. So, why didn't he go to Depaul instead?

A better question is why would anyone including OP

Want to go to DePaul. It is a rotten school with second-rate players saddled with third-rate academics and character. Sort of like Wichita State but without the winning.

millions to go to a school who hasn't been good in a while and basically stay 3-4 years and not care if you win or not would you?
And of course if you listen to some on here he was banging a coed and Mrs. Purnell found out.

Ha! Thought that was why Rick Barnes left... Oliver

Didn't even give us a chance to match DePaul (which we would've). Mrs. Purnell wanted to live in Chicago rather than Seneca - I got it. But, Oliver may well have sacrificed his career to make her happy...

calling, and he realized the ACC cares about the Tobacco Road schools.
I don't know if Purnell was messing around with a coed that's just what some people on here say.
And his career will probably be over after Depaul, but at least he will be set for life financially.
