It usually takes more then a day for a state employee to pass all the background stuff in order to get hired. At least that has been my experience with the State of SC.

Taz, it could be the BOT or Clemson HR but it's not the state. Technically they are State employees but they're an "at will" employee so you don't have the cursory regulations you would for a permanent state employee. Hth.
