TRUMP has SPENT absolutely NOTHING.

This thing called Congress approves all spending of your federal tax dollars. Furthermore, they direct the distribution of that money. Congress chooses how to spend the money, not the President. And between all the things Congress spends money on, between Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, Student Loans, Housing, Food Stamps, national defense, education, the environment, and everything else they spend money on, the vast majority of that is spent on the poor and middle class, either directly or indirectly. And it's all funded by the evil wealthiest Americans who pay the vast majority of taxes.

I know this is probably a foreign concept, but the rich "get" nothing from the government. They FUND the government. What the rich "get" from the government is purely the extent at which the government takes less from them. They "get" to keep more or less of THEIR money. 48% or so of Americans DO GET money from the government. Furthermore, they give nothing to it in taxes. As such, they're ALL FOR taking more from the rich because they're living just fine not contributing to the country. It's a massive voting block as well.

Money is an arbitrary unit (piece of paper) used to quantify a value for the exchange of labor. Pure and simple, at the very core. It is earned, again at the core level, by helping other people. The rich get rich helping other people. They create a product or service that helps people, that people are willing to pay with money from their labor helping other people as well. That's just how it works. The more important your help is to other people, the more people you can help, the more money you make.

So how does Bernie want to change this pyramid?

Funding: Tax Wall Street Gambling to Cancel All Student Debt and Pay for College for All
How much will it cost me, personally: This sounds like it is going to increase fees on our 401K and retirement plans.
How much will I benefit, personally: My kids could go to college for free.

Issue: Expanding Social Security
Funding: Fully paid for by making the wealthiest 1.8 percent of Americans – those with incomes over $250,000 a year.
How much will it cost me, personally: None, I guess. I make less than $250K/yr at this point.
How much will I benefit, personally: Some minor benefits when I'm much older. I probably won't qualify for any of the benefits, though.

Issue: Housing for All
Funding: Fully paid for by a wealth tax on the top one-tenth of one percent – those who have a net worth of at least $32 million.
How much will it cost me, personally: Nada.
How much will I benefit, personally:Zero.

Issue: Universal Childcare/Pre-K
Funding: Fully paid for by a wealth tax on the top 0.1 percent – those who have a net worth of at least $32 million.
How much will it cost me, personally: Zero.
How much will I benefit, personally: Save us maybe $3000/year if I just take him at his word.

Issue: Eliminating Medical Debt
Funding: Fully paid for by establishing an income inequality tax on large corporations that pay CEOs at least 50 times more than average workers.
How much it will cost me, personally: Directly? Zero.
How much will I benefit, personally:Zero.

Issue: Green New Deal
Funding:
$3.085 trillion by making the fossil fuel industry pay for their pollution, through litigation, fees, and taxes, and eliminating federal fossil fuel subsidies.
$6.4 trillion in revenue from the wholesale of energy produced by the regional Power Marketing Administrations. This revenue will be collected from 2023-2035, and after 2035 electricity will be virtually free, aside from operations and maintenance costs.
Reducing defense spending by $1.215 trillion by scaling back military operations on protecting the global oil supply.
Collecting $2.3 trillion in new income tax revenue from the 20 million new jobs created by the plan.
Saving $1.31 trillion by reducing the need for federal and state safety net spending due to the creation of millions of good-paying, unionized jobs.
Raising $2 trillion in revenue by making large corporations pay their fair share of taxes.
How much will it cost me, personally: Increased gas prices, possibly higher electric costs (not certain), Lower wages/bonuses due to higher corporate taxes (I suspect.)
How much will I benefit, personally: Zero (debatable, I guess)

Issue: Medicare for All
Funding: An assortment of taxes on the wealthy, including inheritance taxes.
How much will it cost me, personally: Potentially seven figures, unless I could work some significant loopholes. Potentially more than that.
How much will I benefit, personally: Who knows. I guarantee if he hits me with a seven figure tax, I'll never see that kind of benefit from it.
