CWS Final Coming?

I don’t know about y’all, but this team can compete with any team around. If, and I mean IF, this team plays like they’ve been through June, they’re going to Omaha. The lineup is scary. 6 hitters are over .300 and 4 of those 6 are over .330. And the ones who are below .300 are extremely valuable and still good hitters and defenders like Riley Bertram.

The starters are beginning to be able to stick it through 5 innings, and the bullpen is the healthiest it’s been all year. There’s going to be some luck needed as always, but Clemson is a real contender here.

My feelings exactly, and that's what I was telling my wife just last night, that I hope we can get another shot at the coots before the uniforms are put away until next season!!!

Hope you are correct, but it appears you are a little too far out over your skies at this point. Much better plan to simply enjoy the current streak instead of setting yourself up for disappointment.

People please pipe down the talk. Not so long ago we were struggling and peoples were questioning the hire. Now everyone is a fan and watching and coming to games. I guess you get that. It’s a great turn around. Pump the brakes we still have tough teams and hopefully a good run in acct. then guess what regionals happen and anything can happen! Young team and headed in right direction but let’s beat the Hokies first.

We’re a top-10 team in the country regardless of rankings, which the RPI has us 11th.

This isn’t some fluke though. There’s no reason to pipe down because good things are coming. Don’t know how far this year, but I seriously expect a deep Omaha run in the next 3 years, if not this year.

Bakich is the real deal. He knows Clemson baseball like the back of his hand because he shadowed Leggett along with Kevin O’Sullivan and Tim Corbin. Who by the way have been the Florida Head Coach and Vanderbilt Head Coach during both of those programs’ best years. There’s no other person in the country we would rather have besides maybe Corbin and O’Sullivan. I guarantee we contacted both of them if the hiring process.

Regardless of what results happen from here, we have already gotten through the tough times with Bakich. That bad period of play that we went through usually lasts a lot longer for first year coaches. Look at Link Jarrett at FSU.
