I dont doubt it...but seriously, i have no clue how they decide who plays who or who makes that decision.

Anyone care to shed some light?

They just use a tournament bracket. The regionals feed into pre-determined Supers which feed into an already selected pod at the CWS. That is why #1 UF plays #8 USC. It is just set up where in theory if all the national seeds advance 11 v 8 and 4 v 5 are one pod and the other is 2 v 7 and 3 v 6.

Or ensuring that it won't be an all-SEC championship series. But you're probably right.

Better than splitting them up and having an all sec championship series

Matchups aren't determined once the 8 teams get to
Omaha, The opening round matchups are determined by
the Regional and Super Regional winners. The NCAA
just makes out the bracked for the entire playoff run
by matching One Regional against another, and then
the rest is determined by who comes out of the Regionals.
This is all decided before they even know what teams
are seclected for each regional.
In other words, Had the ACC Teams in each regional
advanced, and then won the Super Regionals as well,
NC State would have been playing Clemson in the game
9:pm Saturday night game that was just played last night
against USC and Florida. .... Had North Carolina gone
through it's Regional, and Super as the winner, they
would have played Florida St yesterday instead of
Arizona. etc... There's no conspiracy by ESPN to match
up two, three or more SEC teams in one half of a bracket
or other, or to get two SEC teams in the finals of the
CWS. Teams dertermine it by winning their regionals,
advancing and winning their supers. Cards are shuffled
and dealt at the start. Up to the teams to decide it
on the field as to who meets who in Omaha.
